We left yesterday morning at 5am for our two hour trek to the RE. We met w/ Dr D this time. He was very personable and funny. We both liked him a lot. He wanted to get an ultrasound on Ali. The follicle on her left(dominant) went from 15mm on Fri to a whopping 24mm on Sun. Dr D said her right follicles don't want to get in the game...nothing on the right side at all. Ali still hadn't surged, so Dr D gave her an HCG trigger and said I need to see you back Mon morning at 7:45. So, we decided to just stay the night. We made a day of shopping and eating. We were so tired from getting up so early Sun., that Ali was fast asleep by 7pm and I shortly followed.
Mon Am appt 7:45- We saw Dr W today. He said our donors count was 23 million motile and that was good. He stated they like to have at least 20 million. Ok, so we're at least 3 million over. I did find something interesting, he put a little bend at the end of the catheter, curved it to one side. I don't know why he did that? I guess I should have asked.
Ali said her ass hurts from the HCG, but other than that.......ALL IS GOOD!

She probably has a tilted cervix. I had one and they always did that too....it makes for a MUCH more comfortable insem usually.
CONGRATS on the 24mm.
Thanking good thoughts for yall during your tww.
This is so exciting- and I can only assume and imagine how nice it is for you two to know FACTS about what is going on. My thoughts are with you both- and lots of luck is being sent your way from freezing %^*&*&^ Wisconsin!!! :)
Wow, that's great news! We are
pretty sure Dr.D was our lucky Doc both times we got pregnant. We liked the fact that he likes to wait at least 24 hrs. after the trigger. We will be thinking good
thoughts for you guys! Deb and Patti
Good luck! Weird about the catheter but kj is probably right.
I've heard that catheter trick a couple of times now...hmmm
Here's to a TWW with a super happy ending!
They always curved the tip of the catheter on my IUI's. On the first one I had the RE mentioned that I have "a very anterior uterus". We guess that means that after passing thru the cervix, my ute is down towards the table as opposed to straight in.
24mm is great!! Fingers crossed for you!
KJ is right on the cervix thingy.... good luck to you guys!!!
