In the beginning...

Just thought we'd put the link to our original blog so you could get the whole story...well the story since blogging started. We moved to blogger because La thought is was more user friendly. I haven't used it much yet so I'll have to see what I think.

Doctor's Appointment

We had our follow up appointment today. Our Dr. said all looked fine and Ali's uterus was nice and strong. She said we could start trying again in 3 months......seems like forever... Our wonderful friend and midwife has since moved offices, so this visit was sad in two ways. One.. the grief of losing a baby and two...not being able to continue the journey at the current office. We absolutely love the office where we were today...their concepts and beliefs are important to us, as is our midwife. So as we struggle with following her/or staying where we are, our obvious reason is to to go..(she is a dear friend and has been on this year long journey with us)...we are sadden by our loss of a wonderful caring Dr. and staff. We hope that when we get pregnant again....and it becomes time to deliver....we hope they are both on call.....

Trying to get back to normal

It was a good week all in all. I was concerned for Ali since last week she returned back to work. How extremely hard to go to a place where you are birthing life everyday and mourning the loss of your own. Only a close few of her co-workers knew. She was waiting for her 12th week to tell them. I on the other hand, could not keep a secret and blurted the minute we found out "POSITIVE"! I pray for her peace and comfort. She's a wonderful nurse, a beautiful person, and will be an incredible mom.

Healing after a miscarriage

We originally had our post w/wordpress, but have found this site to be much easier. We are healing after the loss of our baby. We would have been 12 weeks today. Ali has taken this sooo hard. I feel helpless in not knowing what she needs from me right now. We both grieve so differently. I like to be surrounded by the people I love, she on the other hand likes to crawl up and hide. Is it ok that we grieve differently? How can we both grieve and not feel like we're hurting the other one's feelings? Just the thought of getting back on the ttc train seems exhausting. It took one full year for us to finally conceive. The bright side...at least we know we can get pregnant.

I must say....Life is good...God is good...friends and family are good!

To all our friends who were on this journey and are feeling this loss too, we thank you for your prayers, support, and unconditional love. Thank you to the blogs we love to read....who remind us everyday of why it is all worth the wait...even through tragedy.
