Ali and I attended a cloth diaper class the other night. We left there with a lot of useful information on over 10 or so different brands and styles. I personally like an all in one type. I think Ali is leaning the more old school route with the cloth diaper and then a cover..also known as t*h*irsties. Has anyone used any of these ie. fuzzy bunz , g diapers, bum genius or any other brand that you may have liked. Let us know what ya think.

Thanks for the shout out! We are beyond excited!!
I used to own a cloth diaper store. I love pocket diapers personally...but we have quite a few types in our diaper stash. It's hard to recommend just one because every baby is built a bit differently and what works for one will leak for another (especially when one baby has thinner thighs).
I suggest getting a few types and then waiting to see what works well for your little one...you don't want to be stuck with tons of dipes that don't fit right. :)
I never liked Fuzzy Bunz for my daughter, but the ones I really loved are now made in China and have gone down in quality. Trial and error :) You can also buy diaper packages which can be returned to the diaper store if you're not happy, and these include many different types. www.jilliansdrawers.com has options I believe.
We are using g diapers as a compromise between cloth and disposables. they fit very well and we are pleased with them. Our boy is a heavy wetter at nught and we were having leaks so are now using a disposable over night. They are beyond cute, washing them has been easy, we do not flush the inserts but we throw them out in a biodegradable trashbag. good luck!
are you taking your child to daycare? Is your daycare person willing to do cloth diapers? I do in home daycare and there is no way I would do cloth....toooo many children (I watch 5) to deal with......good luck my daughter is 29 and I used cloth because she couldn't use disposables
Mimi- we are not using daycare. A friend will be taking care of him/her and luckily she willing to do whatever
R&R- Thanks for the suggestions and site refferal. We are looking at their intro pack
We use cloth diapers, but mostly the ones that I make myself. As previously suggested, it's probably a good idea to try a few different kinds to see which ones work. I love Wiggle Worm Bottoms (next to my own LOL). And get yourself one of those mini showers for the toilet.
Cloth diapering is not as hard as it sounds. Some diapers out there are as easy to use as disposables. Good luck.
We have some g-diapers that someone passed on to us and we never used. We'd be glad to pass them on to you. Let us know!
I'm not sure of your reasons for using cloth, but just so you know, G Diapers contain the same chemicals (gels) as disposables...so if you are looking to be toxin-free, don't go with those. They also are known for clogging the toilet ;)
