Ali and I went over to a friends house to tell her our news and visit with her and her son J. He was born Oct 2008. He is 5mo's old and is the cutest, hefty fella. I got to see what it feels like(for a couple hours) to be a parent. I fed him and bathed him and Ali put him to sleep. It was so nice to visit with her and her husband. We only planned on staying for a little bit, but I think C really enjoyed the company and help.
We left C and A's and decided to go by Bo*ders and pick out a baby name book. There are many! We have a short list of names we like. It's hard to name someone else! We also browsed through parenting magazines and have wanted to purchase a co-sleeper. Anyone have one and can give us some advice?

We didn't use the co-sleeper so I don't know about that, BUT I have a baby name book to recommend...the baby name wizard. We loved it. We picked out lots of names and didn't decide on one until he was in our arms. We actually didn't even consider the name that he has until the last few weeks of the pregnancy. It is very hard to name a person.
My only knowledge of co-sleepers is the Arms Reach brand, and I've read bad reviews b/c it's not level with the bed, so you have to lift Baby out to nurse, which is bad on the back, and sort of defeats the point. We are very excited to do this sidecar arrangement, which I think it better b/c they fit in it "forever" and it's even with the bed:

We used the in bed co-sleeper.
It was little bed that we put in the middle of us. It kept the babies separate from us but still right there. We didn't worry about them rolling under us or us rolling on to them.
We bought ours for 45.00 at Target.
