Peak Opk...advice

OK, question for all you bloggers. Peak on the opk, when would you do iui? I have read everything from 24-48 hours, but 36 seems to be when they are suggesting. We have always done 1 iui the night of the peak and then the next iui the following am. Ali knows she ovulates usually the night of her peak(well technically next day) usually around wee hours.. 2amish. So are we doing iui too early or right on schedule....any advice?

Both of our BFPs came after a 6 am positive OPK and a next day 10 am IUI. So, hhmm..what's that? 28 hours later.

Yeah- we were 36 hour people too, give or take a few hours. If she knows that she is ovulating around 2am, why don't you do it around 2am? That's what I would do!

sounds like 36 hours may be the winner!

Oh yeah - I think I remember another blogger's story about how she felt like she had been inseminating too late. She changed her time to 12 hours after her peak. They gave birth yesterday from that insem!!!

The moral of the story is: everyone is (of course) a bit different b/c none of this is just easy!! I think 36 is recommended b/c it's the average. If Ali ovulates in the wee-ish hours - I'd still aim to do it in the wee-ish hours- a bit before and/or a bit after. That's just me.

I always did mine 24 hours later.
The time I got pregnant was 2 days later.
WHO KNOWS !
The specialist told me that I should be testing 2 times a day.
That's inSANE to me. I of course did it. again. It was meant for me to use bigger guns than just OPK sticks.

Good luck. I think if you are inseminating twice...you cover all of your bases.

I am no professional, but sounds like you are doing it right to me! With Cam I had a positive on a Sunday morning and we did an IUI on Monday at like 11 am. It obviously worked! It's all about the damn timing and it's hard to know. So I say get it in there when you can. Good Luck!

We always did an IUI the evening of a +OPK. Worked at least twice that way. ;)
