When Does It End

I'm not complaining , I just feel bad for my honey. I'm a fix-it kinda person. She has thrown up everyday for the past 10 or so days and some more than once. I do say thank you God because this is a good sign...right? I tell her if she would tell people at work, then she could at least wear her sea bands. She's scared tho. I just want her to feel better.

It is a good sign! If she hasn't already tried Preggy Pops, they help. You can get them at Motherhood or Best Beginnings. In a pinch, I also found Tangerine Sour Altoids effective. The best and most unexpected advice I got was to NEVER drink plain water. Always drink something with a little bit of sugar in it. I would often just put in a bit or juice. For me, it lasted a bit into the 2nd trimester. Of course, then it was the heartburn. But, it is all SO SO SO worth it. :)

SUCH a good sign.

I don't know if you are or not, but take those prenates at night with crackers. Also, when you wake up to pee in the middle of the night. Eat another cracker or two. Even if you gag the pastey ass things down :) JUST DO IT !
During the day. Even when you aren't hungry. Chuck a cracker in. You need to make sure your stomach is never empty. Even if it's just a tiny little fish cracker. I swear it makes all the difference in the world.
Something to try any ways.

Sorry for the puking and suffering. All I can say is that I hope Ali either find something that works for her or that it passes quickly. There are as many pieces of advice out there as there are women, and I have to say that for me, nothing really made that much of a difference until I got on a perscription anti-nausea med.

But yes, the research out there tends to indicate that morning sickness means a healthy baby growing well.

Yuck I am so sorry. But, hopefully she will get some relief very soon. I was lucky and did not have the sickness.. but I have heard eating all the time helps. I know it is an oxymoron, because who feels like eating with they are nauseated... but hopefully it will help a bit.

it's a great sign! it'll most likely be a little while longer. she should wear her sea bands though. she can just tell people she's dizzy can't she or will they see right through that? maybe an inner ear infection?

glad to hear she's pukin' and i'm not ready for her to feel better quite yet. grow baby grow!! ; )

If it continues, call your midwife and a for a script for Zofran. Works fantastic and fine during pregnancy. Keep the blood sugar stable with small frequent meals and no fruit juices (they raise and drop glucose levels quickly and then cause nausea) If she can stand it, peppermints work very well.
Trust me, its my specialty.
We're rooting for you!!!
