We are getting ready to leave next week for DC. We will be gone for 10 days...yeah! However, we're not use to freezing weather and snow. How does one prepare? Hat..ck...gloves...ck..jacket...ck am I missing anything? I really don't even know how cold it will be. So, those of you who live in the North, help a sister out.
In baby news.....we are inseminating before we leave, on our own, and hoping the relaxing trip will work it's magic. If we do not get our +++++++ we have decided to take the plunge and do IVF. What's another $11,000. OHHH, I need a drink!!!!

As far as the weather goes, it's been cold. Come with winter coat, scarf, gloves, hat, nice pajamas, thick socks and maybe even some boots in case it snows :) Who knows, with the weather, it could be back in the 40s next week :) Hope ya have a great time!!
Your lives are SO DAMN EXCITING right now. DC, possible pregnancy, chance at IVF. Lots going on.
If you find out you are pregnant after going to DC....are you going to name the baby Michelle. Or if it's a boy....Obama. Maybe just middle names then :)
That's how Syd got her name. Honestly. We were in Australia and J joked....If we get pregnant and it's a girl can we name her Sydney ? I knew it wouldn't happen so I agreed. TA DA !

Yes yes yes...the lip balm!! These cold winds are not good for soft lips :)

DC area resident here, too.
I'd say the likely hood of you needing boots is pretty slim, so if you don't own a pair, I wouldn't buy them. A good comfy pair of shoes, leather and possibly waterproof, paired with warm socks should be enough. Our weather can be unpredictable so layers are key. Thinner long sleeved cotton knit shirts paired with warmer sweaters will serve you well.
